Frontsight was founded by William Allen, a seasoned venture capitalist and company builder, former US Marine Officer and veteran of the War in Afghanistan, and distinguished alumnus of Columbia University.

In addition to being Managing Partner of Frontsight, William is the creator and host of the America Builds podcast. As General Partner, William has raised and managed hundreds of millions in assets and invested in more than 60 early-stage companies.

His track record includes early positions in Solugen, Astranis, Material Security, CyCognito, Kodiak, Robust Intelligence, Sempgrep, and Genesis Therapeutics. With a proven track record co-investing alongside Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, Benchmark, Founders Fund, Greylock, and others, William has dedicated his career to fostering the growth of pioneering startups and founders that build technology to protect democracies across the globe.
